Getting Started

Here I am with Barb M. She so generously agreed to show me how to set up a Blog so ALL of our friends and family can see in an instant what we are up to.

I think this is going to be so much fun!!

[Actually, it has been anything but FUN setting up this D--M BLOG. It's taken 3-4 nights, 9 - 12:30 (I can only go on line after 9 PM). Bills have gone unpaid; e-mails have not been answered; and Ken has not had any "fun" either!! But, now that I finally have it going, I think it might be fun afterall!!]

More Fun With Barb

Water aerobics was so much fun at Orlando with Helen (front) as our leader. Marie and Barb joined us several mornings at 9 AM.

One day at water aerobics we all decided to go to see the shuttle launch from Kennedy Space Center the next day!

SO - -

Mitch and Barb took Keith and Marie and Ken and me on an 80-mile drive from Orlando to Titusville to watch the launch of the Shuttle Endeavor at 2:30 AM on March 11. The sight was awesome!! Until the shuttle suddenly disappeared into the cloud cover! That’s an experience we won’t likely forget or ever have again.

2 for 1 Margaritas at Ay Jalisco's

Pickleball players can play a good game, even off the courts!! Here’s a group of us at a really great Mexican restaurant, Ay Jalisco’s in Clermont, FL.

The restaurant was recommended by Barb J. The food was abundant and UMMMM, UMMMMM good. 2 for 1 margaritas topped off the evening!! Hey!! The price was right, too!!

Three Cheers for Barb!!
Rah! Rah!! Rah!!!

Nickel Beer at Cheyenne's

Yes!! That’s right!! Beer is only a nickel every Wednesday night at Cheyenne Saloon and Oprah House in Church Street Station, Orlando, FL. Our group enjoyed not only the beer but the live band and the dancing as well as the ambiance of the old saloon..

The guys attracted the attention of the Monster Radio Station dance team! They were the envy of every other male in the saloon!!!

But, the girls had a great time, too!!

At least now we know what to do with our worn out Jeans!!!

Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, FL

We are enjoying our “week out” from TT Orlando, relaxing at beautiful Lake Louisa State Park. It is less than seven miles north on US 27. The park is huge and beautiful with six lakes, offering some of the most spectacular vistas in Florida.

Stan and Sally spent an afternoon with us at the Park. After walking the beach, we had hot dogs with all the trimmings for lunch.

Our site is very nice and private, with a lake view of Dixie Lake.

I enjoyed a hike around one of the lakes. Some beautiful scenery along the way!!

Bringing You a Moment of Serenity

My son, Barry, and his family recently spent a couple of days in DC when the Cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Beautiful!!
