BACK HOME WITH SOME OLD FRIENDS!!
We still have some long time friends in the Richmond Area from our “Tennis Days”. Although we have traded in our tennis racquets for pickleball paddles, it is always fun to get together with our Old Friends whenever we come home.
KAREN AND DENNIS
Karen and Dennis are our crazy party friends. They still live in Richmond; but they also have a beautiful home on the Great Wicomico River, Reedville, VA. We recently spent an afternoon with them, laughing and drinking the day away. Afterwards we all went out for a great seafood dinner at Horn Harbor.
LOIS AND GENE
Lois and Gene are our traveling, margarita drinking, card-playing friends. They have a beautiful home in a Richmond suburb, but spend a lot of time flying to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, or Greece; or driving to Myrtle Beach for “shagging on the stran”. We’ve gotten together several times this summer. This time for margaritas and
a rousing game of Hand and Foot.
VIRGINIA DERBY DAY
AND we met up again for a Day at the Races!! It was the 3rd Annual Virginia Derby Day Trackside Party!! We had a great time together playing the horses, eating a huge buffet lunch, and, of course, enjoying the beer and wine that came with our tickets!! Looking forward to the 4th Annual!!

BACK HOME WITH FAMILY!!
We left Florida the end of April and after a couple of stops along the way, we returned to our home Thousand Trails Park, Chesapeake Bay, near Gloucester, VA the first part of May. Wow!! We did not expect that we would be soooo busy!!! We have been going non-stop since arriving here! That’s why no entries to our Blog for such a long time.
KEN'S SON, MIKE, AND FAMILY
Ken’s son, Mike, was at the campground when we arrived. It was great to see family again!!
Mike and his wife, Diane, took us out for a delicious seafood dinner in celebration of Mother’s Day!! The restaurant was a former drug store on Main Street in Matthews, VA and still had the décor of a drug store soda fountain. That’s my platter of clam strips in the foreground of the picture! And Diane's Prime Rib on the right!!! UMMMMM!!
On one of our trips into Richmond, we got to spend some time with our new Great Grandson, Michael. He is 1 ½ years old. Michael is Diane’s son’s son. He’s so cute!!
TRIP TO RALEIGH, NC
I (Faye) drove to Raleigh, NC to spend the weekend with my son, Barry, and his family, MaryAnn and Thomas
Gammy and Thomas
It happened that was the weekend of the Arts Scavenger Hunt in downtown Raleigh. We decided to participate. We had to review the clues (about 15), determine the likely location of each piece of art, get to that location, and find the specific piece of art. Then we needed to take a picture of the art as proof we were actually there. It was quite a challenge and a lot of fun and exercise! We walked all over downtown Raleigh. However, in spite of our efforts, we did not come home as the Scavenger Hunt winners.

VISIT WITH DAUGHTER, STASIA
Had a wonderful time visiting my daughter, Stasia, and family for a few days in June. Drove down to NC by myself. We had a great and busy time together. Grandson Jason and his girl came over on Sunday to celebrate Father's Day with the family, so I got to see him. Grandson Michael had a baseball game on Tuesday and hit a Single that brought in two runs for the team!! Rah Michael.
Stasia works with Seniors and "Special Pops" for the City of Goldsboro. So, we had so much stuff to do -- walking every morning; her Fitness Class; her Water Aerobics; a Senior Canoe Outing of six miles down the Cliffs of the Nuse River; she took me out to the Royal Tea House for Mother's Day lunch; we went to the 2008 Prom for Special Pops (did the Electric Slide, the Cha Cha Shuffle, Etc.).
