This is the 75h running of The World Famous Suicide Race. I read that the hill has a 33% slant. I also read that the slant is 54%. Anyway, it is STEEP!!!
This is the view of Suicide Hill from on top of the hill.
And this is the view from the Arena. You will notice in this picture that the Suicide Hill is located between two houses in a residential section of town. The lot now belongs to the Omak Stampede.
The Race Horses and their riders were introduced before the race. Just three of the horses.

While the horses and their riders were gathering at the top of the hill, another riderless horse was led around the arena in honor of the Suicide Racers and Horses who have gone to the Happy Hunting Grounds.
I wish I could say this is the view we had of the race, but actually, I stole it from a newspaper article!!
This is the view we got!! Except the race was shown on a big screen in the arena.
And the Winner crossing the Finish Line. I think the horse in second place is Tazz who won the races on Thursday and Friday nights. It seems the horse is the one who gets the notoriety for the win!! The rider is secondary.
